neverendingness

With the Buddhist Exhibition coming up so soon, things are starting to get busy…and fun! We just finished discussing about the layout and which artefacts we will be displaying to show the Buddha”s journey. This weekend will be filled with visits to different monasteries to measure and write down the descriptions of the artefacts we want to borrow. We’re gonna go to five monasteries – Wat Pa Buddharangsee, Hwa Tsang Monastery, Sunantaram Forest Monastery and Santi Monastery – in two days! Talk about a roadtrip!
Lately, I have been spending a lot of time researching on the Buddha”s story. Some good sites are: BuddhaNet and BuddhaMind. There is a memorable quote that i stumbled across in my reading: The more I know Him, the more I love him. The more I love Him, the more I know him.
Indeed, the more I read about who the Buddha was and what he did, I am continuously in awe at his benevolence and wisdom, and inspired by his effort to understand the truth of living!

Because that’s what’s life isn’t it? A story. A tale.
My best friend asked me today, ‘who am i being’? Am i being a close friend, a good daughter, a responsible person? We have so many roles and identities. Are you a happy soul, an energetic being, a nice stranger? Or are you a depressed hangover?
I said to her, I am being me. But that begs the next question: then who is me?
So maybe a better answer is: I am being.
