Attachments 2 go
June 9, 2008Like a thirst
quenched;
Like a tired man
laying his head to rest;
Like carrying a bag of hot charcoal
and finally putting it down;
So too our minds will be
when we are free
of our desires, worries and attachments.
But how to let go?
By seeing the disadvantages of our attachments, and the advantages of non-attachment.
By understanding the true nature of all things.
By being at peace with the memories of the past and uncertainties of the future.
By being content with the present moment, without expecting anything more.

Tina…
I need a chat with you!
Been lacking wisdom lately…

Like a hot metal
that has been super tempered,
The metal itself may crack on the surface…
What’s that mean metaphorically?
