Beginningless Ends (2007)
A fresh page, a fresh start? Do we start from the beginning? What else have we from what we had?
Old souls, trying to discover again the questions once pursued, to find an answer to a question unasked.
Ever felt lost on a familiar raod, trying to search for another? Living your life because you can only know it for what it is if you live it? Where meaning is always a little out of reach.
Ever write that sentence each word at a time without racing ahead? Without knowing what comes next? Without knowing whether the sentence would end without finding that perfect word or meaning you did not think about? What would you write?
What if life was lived that way? Living each minute without expecting what would happen next. Without rushing ahead and spoiling the surprise. Without calculating first how your words would be heard and your thoughts be receive. Without anticipating how the world would respond.
What would happen to conversation? To your relationship with others? Or with the petal on the ground? The painted clouds that pattern the sky? Will you notice them then? And how would you hear silence? What will you see in darkness?
Maybe you might begin to know things just as they are. As they manifest themselves in their own way. Instead of knowing them only in relation to you. Instead of living while others pass by you.
Maybe we can gaze wideeyed at the world again. There is so much we don’t know, and yet so much we do know about answers to irrelevant questions.
Maybe life can be lived to its essence, so we can make the most of every moment, without expecting anything beyond that moment of happiness.
