Half-past (2005)
Memories flood me…i fall upon the cold floor.
Washed upon me, i grasp for the shore.
If only i can stop the flooding waters of the past pulling me down,
then i may have a chance to reach there before i drown.
I close my eyes and stop the struggle.
Instead i float gently, and let the tides carry me.
I may not know where i will end up at, or where i will be,
but at least i know i will reach the shore, eventually.
The past is always behind, don’t make it blind your way,
the past is gone, so let it stay.
Rest it in the years gone by,
don’t dig it up and ask why.
The truth is here, in your heart,
Don’t search for answers that falls apart.
Be one with the world and know we make mistakes,
Keep walking, head high, whatever it takes.
Learn to forgive, and learn to forget,
Learn to be wise, not live with regret.
